Simply - THANKS

Fall is in the air!  This easy to make card can be used to share your Thanksgiving wishes or as a thank you notecard.

Here is what you need to make your own card:

5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Pumpkin Pie Card Stock (CS)
5 1/4" x 4" Soft Suede CS
5" x 3 1/4" Whisper White CS
5" x 1 1/2" Into the Woods DSP
Seasonally Scattered Stamp Set (2014)
Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad
11" Hello Honey Stitched Ribbon
Adhesive

Yes, the "thanks" stamp is part of a retired set.  I hope you still have the set.  If you are like me, you want to use a set for more than one year.  I used the "Merry" stamp from this set last December so wanted to use the 'thanks" stamp now.

Stamp "thanks" onto the Whisper White card stock, adhere it to the top of the Soft Suede card stock.

Adhere the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper, as seen on page 43 of the Holiday catalog, below the stamped card stock onto the Soft Suede card stock.

Add the ribbon to cover the seam between the papers.  Several ribbons with the coordinating colors in the DSP are still available on the Clearance Rack, so hurry to pick up this great deal here!  Tie a knotted bow onto the ribbon.

Adhere Soft Suede card stock to the Pumpkin card stock.

Now how simple is that?!  You can do it!  Click on any of the items below to order.

A little twist on the October 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Stampin'Up!'s October Paper Pumpkin kit came in a pink box.  I liked the cards so much I ordered a refill this morning!  If you are not already a Paper Pumpkin subscriber and would like to join the fun, click here.  Stampin'Up! will send an email to redeem your subscription.  If you are a subscriber, you can order refill kits here.  The refills come at a deep discount and do not have the stamp set or ink spot.

How do you like what I added to the cards this month?

By stamping the flowers from the included stamp set onto the card base, envelope and  banner, my card is just a little different than the directions suggested.  I also sponged the edges of the flowered circle with Lost Lagoon ink to match the small flowers on the designer card stock.

On the card below, I added some 2013 - 2015 In Color Sequins which happen to be on the Clearance Rack for $1.99 as of October 26, 2015.  Check it out here.

With simple additions or changes you can make a kit your own.

I am still working on an alternative for the third set of cards in this month's kit.  I want to add some more bling!  I'll post it soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Simply "Thanks" Two.

My classes made this version of  "A Simple Thanks".  It is a quick and easy card to make for your Thanksgiving wishes or for a thank you note.

Here are the Stampin' Up! supplies you need:
Seasonally Scattered Stamp Set - 2014
5 " x 3 3/4" Very Vanilla Card Stock
5 1/4" x 4"  Soft Suede Card Stock
5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Pumpkin Pie Card Stock
Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad
Very Vintage Buttons
Linen Thread and Metallic Thread - Gold
Retro or Color Me Autumn Washi Tape

Score the Pumpkin Pie card stock at 4 1/4".

Stamp "Thanks" with Soft Suede ink 1 1/2 inches from the bottom of the Very Vanilla card stock.

Adhere Very Vanilla card stock to Soft Suede card stock.  Adhere to Pumpkin Pie card stock base.

Tear off an about 3 1/2 inches piece of either Retro or Color Me Autumn Washi Tape.  Adhere to left side of  Very Vanilla card stock.

Thread a length of linen thread through the button and tie a bow.

With Gold Metallic Thread, make 4 coils around 3 - 4 fingers.  Pinch the coils together in the middle. Using a glue dot, adhere the pinched coils of metallic thread to the back of the button, then all to the washi tape.

The little leaves at the top right are punched out of left over sponged fall colors used on the Leaf of Faith card (see tutorial on this site).  The tiny punch is from a craft store's Dollar Basket.

To order Stampin' Up! supplies for this card, click on the item below.  The Seasonally Scattered stamp set was retired a few months ago.  I hope you picked it up on from Clearance Rack!  The tile below will show you what the full set looks like if you are searching for it on other sites.  Check the Stampin' Up! Clearance Rack here to see if the washi tape is still there.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stampin'.

Flurry of Wishes in Pacific Point and Night of Navy

I live in a part of California that does not see snow.  So I had fun making this card full of snowflakes!  If I had to shovel them, they might not conjure up such fond memories.

This card is a snap to make if you have the right Stampin' Up! tools.

The Flurry of Wishes photopolymer stamp set and punch for the two smaller snowflakes is on page 25 of the Holiday catalog or here They are available as a bundle for a 15% savings.  The larger snowflake is punched out using the Flower Medallion Punch on page 167 of the 2015 Annual catalog.  Or, see on-line, here.

If you prefer an evening feel, here is the same card made with Night of Navy card stock.

The dimensions and supplies needed are:
5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" Whisper White card stock base
5 1/4" x 4" Pacific Point of Night of Navy CS
5 1/4" x 2 1/2" Whisper White CS
Scrapes of Whisper White CS for snowflakes,
about 1 1/4" x 3" for the smaller and 2 1/2" square for the larger snowflake.
Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set
Flower Medallion Punch

Snow Flurry Punch
Dazzling Details
Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Pacific Point Classic Ink Pad
Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink Pad
Marina Mist Classic Ink Pad

Randomly stamp the snowflakes onto the Pacific Point or Night of Navy card stock with the same color ink.  Stamp the sentiment onto the2 1/2" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and tear the top edge to form a hill of snow.    Adhere to bottom of stamped blue card stock.  Stamp with all blue inks and punch out several snowflakes to randomly attach to card.  Use stampin' dimensionals to lift some of the snowflakes, especially where one overlaps another.  Add rhinestones to some of the snowflakes or a dot of Dazzling Details.  Any embellishment you like may be added to the center of the snowflakes.  Add a line of Dazzling Details to the edge of the "snow bank".

You probably will have enough "snow bank" left over to make another card.

The Flurry of Wishes stamp set and the Snow Flurry Punch are available at 15% off as a bundle.  I have listed both the bundle and the individual pieces below.

Here are the Stampin' Up! supplies I used to make these cards.  Click on any item to be connected to my on line store.  Thank you.
