Here Comes the Easter Bunny!

I have had so much fun with the 2017 Basket Bunch Bundle from the current Occasions catalog.  The stamp set and corresponding Framelits are sold separately; but, you save 10% when you purchase the bundle.  See the Bundle here!

Here are some of the cards I have made using the Basket Bunch stamp set and Basket Builder Framelit Dies.  All cards use the same layout, but, are made with slightly different techniques.

On this one I used the Sponge Brayer for the sky.  The brayer is on page 180 of the 2017 Annual Catalog, or see it here.    I will be honest with you, I did not think I would like using a foam sponge brayer until I tried these.  There are 2 handles and 4 washable sponges in the box.  And, just $8 in the USA.  The rabbit, chicks, daffodil with stem and leaves, eggs and grass are all cut out using the Basket Builder Framelits Dies.  The dies and stamp set are seen on page 18 of the Occasions Catalog.  The card stocks are thick Whisper White for the A2 card base, Whisper White, Dapper Denim, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake.  Early Espresso ink to stamp the objects.  Various Stampin' Write markers to color the eggs and highlight the bunny.  A touch of clear Wink of Stella here and there.

On this one I  sponged the sky using Stamping Sponges (page 180 AC) with Tempting Turquoise.  The grass is sponged with Old Olive and a touch of Basic Black to create dimension.  As with the card above, the rabbit, chicks, daffodil with stem and leaves, eggs are all cut out using the Basket Builder Framelits Dies.

If you only have the Basket Bunch stamp set, you can use the same design to stamp the scene and color the objects with Stampin' Write Markers.  The A2 base is Whisper White as is the stamped piece.  It is backed with Tangerine Tango and Dapper Denim card stock.  The inks and markers are Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Dapper Denim and Pink Pirouette.  A little clear Wink of Stella highlights the flower and bunny ears and tail.

All of the items used to make these cards are available in my Stampin'Up! store here.  Thank you for shopping with me.

HAVE A WONDERFUL EASTER!!

Easter Message

The masking technique places the palm frond behind the cross in both of these cards.  To mask the cross while you put the palm frond behind it, stamp the cross on a scrap of paper and fussy cut the top half of the design.  Roughly cut the bottom half leaving paper for you to hold onto as you stamp the palm. Hold the mask over the cross and stamp the palm frond.  Remove mask.

On both cards, the cross is stamped with Archival Black Ink onto 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" Very Vanilla card stock.  The palm frond is stamped with Pear Pizzazz.  The sentiment is heat embossed using VersaMark and Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder, as seen on page 181 of the Annual catalog (AC).  I lightly colored the cross with Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil (seen on page 24 of the Occasions catalog, or here) before using an almost dry Aqua Painter to blend the color.  Both cards have clear Wink of Stella on the shroud.

The card above has a 3 3/4" x 5" middle layer of Soft Sky card stock. The ribbon is retired Soft Sky seam binding.  The brass colored brads are from a craft store.

Instead of the Soft Sky, I off set a piece of Old Olive in the upper left corner of the A2 Very Vanilla base.  Old Olive also backs the 1" x 2 7/8" sentiment banner.

The cross stamped onto 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" Very Vanilla card stock.  It is backed with a piece of Basic Black card stock to create an 1/8 inch border to set it off.  The framed design card stock is placed 1/4 inch from the lower right corner of the card base.

Both cards have the Easter Blessing from 2016 Occasion catalog stamped with Mementos Tuxedo Black ink as the inside sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by to see my Easter Message cards.  Any of the above supplies may be purchased in my on-line store here.  I will appreciate your business!
                                                                      Happy Easter!

2017 Sympathy Card.

It is never "fun" to make a sympathy card.  However, it usually brings comfort to a grieving friend in the pain of loss.

I recently needed several at the same time.  Above is one design I made earlier this month.  Last week I was glad I had made extra as I wanted to send a card to another grieving friend.

I used the Heartfelt Sympathy photopolymer stamp set on page 51 of the 2017 Annual Catalog.  The set has a choice of sentiments for the inside.

The A2 card base is Whisper White card stock as is the sentiment piece.  The Perfect Plum inked sentiment is die cut with the largest Layering Oval Framelits as seen here..  The scalloped backing is cut from Perfect Plum card stock using the corresponding scalloped Layering Oval Framelit die .

The 3 1/2" x 3 3/4" Old Olive card stock is stamped with Versamark in the corners.  The bottom is a  1 1/2" x 3 3/4"scrap of the now retired Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper.  I miss that DSP!  The "seam" is covered with a length of retired Perfect Plum seam binding ribbon.  But, Stampin' Up! has so many new pretty Designer Series Papers from which to choose.

The design is backed with  4" x 5 1/4" Perfect Plum card stock.

Supplies for this card may be purchased through my on-line store here.

Thank you for looking at my blog and thank you for your business.
